I teach various undergraduate courses in English, including Advanced Creative Writing, Senior Capstone, Intro to Creative Writing/Fiction, Literature, Electronic Literature, and all levels of Composition, and I teach at the graduate level in our Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing program. I also taught and advised thesis projects in our former Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program. I also regularly teach non-traditional students via online delivery in our Degree Completion Program. I currently represent the College of Liberal Arts on the General Education committee, and have served on the Committee on Committees, Convocations, Student Academic Development, and Student Academic Standards committees and our college’s Curriculum Committee. I advise English majors concentrating in creative prose writing, and also work with senior independent studies and honors projects in that subject area. I oversee our student-run literary magazine Slippery Elm, which released its first issue in Dec. 2013. I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014.
